As you may be aware, the Infant and Nursery School on York Road is due to relocate to the new site on Pennine Way in November. The school opened in 1877 so there are 136 years of memories within it's walls. It has been a focal point of the village and been at the heart of the community for that time.
In order to mark those memories, the school is holding a celebration event on Thursday 10th October between 3 and 6pm. A poster is attached below and a link to local press on this is at the bottom of the page.
To cope with education demands and an increase in the village population, the new school is essential and is well designed to meet with these demands. More on that soon.
