Review of Festival of Leisure 2013

The last weekend in June brought some fantastic weather and a large number of people visited Maurice Lea Park for the South Derbyshire Festival of Leisure.

With an action packed timetable in the main events arena, a huge variety of stalls, displays and rides nicely complimented with entertainment from the bandstand it was an event with appeal to all.

Both days saw huge crowds with many stall holders stating it was a successful event.  Although most visitors were local, there were also visitors from further afield including some from South Gloucestershire looking to set up a similar show.
