Activities through the Summer

Following the recent spate of good weather and the schools starting to break up it is a good time to remind everyone of forthcoming events in the local area.

Following a successful Festival of Leisure and Our Big Gig, Maurice Lea Park will be playing host to a number of activities through the summer.

In the words of SDDC's  Community Sports Coach:

"With lots of sports and activities available there is no time for children and young people to get bored!

This year we have some additional equipment all of which has been externally funded, including a human table football inflatable, a laser combat arena, a new orienteering programme called Xplorer and the new teenage craze slacklining!"

One for the diary is National Play Day on Wednesday August 7th.  This event is very popular.
